Man Showers to Sober Up, in Wrong House.

A women at home alone was terrified when she heard someone having a shower in her house.
Police later found a red-faced neighbour who was so drunk that he went into the house because he thought it was his own.

“He was very apologetic,” Superintendent Daniel Shean told the Northern Territory News.

The man got lost on the way to his house in Katherine on Wednesday night.
He walked into the home and took a shower in an attempt to sober up.  The 34-year-old householder was asleep upstairs.
She woke up, heard the water running and frantically rang the police.

When officers arrived, they found the 42-year-old sitting on the woman’s verandah – dressed again.
He said “sorry” to the police and woman many times after realising his mistake.

I’m assuming the door was unlocked, there is no mention of a break in, she was very lucky it wasn’t someone who was out to attack her. Still it is a funny story, I wonder who was shocked more?

A good point about the door – whether it was locked or unlocked then, it’s going to be locked more often now!

I did walk into the wrong flat once … realised my mistake right away, when my dog didn’t rush to meet me … and we found that everyone in the block had identical keys and locks.

We didn’t have for long, though!

      Hi travelrat,
That’s incredible, fancy putting all the same locks in a block of flats, how stupid is that. Must of got a discount for bulk buying. Some people either don’t think or don’t care.
