Car salesmen are known for trying anything to make a sale, but one Florida dealership’s special offer has a shot at being the country’s most outlandish.
At Nations Trucks in Sanford, Fl., the deal is simple: “Buy a truck, get a free AK-47.”
“We wanted to come up with a promotion, that would stir interest,” general sales manager Nick Ginetta told the National Post. “Well, business has tripled in the last few days.”
The used-truck shop has been marketing the free assault rifle promotion since Veterans Day, which was no coincidence.
“So many veterans have given so much for our right to bear arms,” Ginetta said. “That’s why I did it, when I did it.”

Yes it’s official, the world is surely getting weirder. But apparently businesses is booming, so it looks like it worked. But they are offering a check of $400 if you don’t want a weapon. Who would of thought this gimmick would of worked?

I’m not arguing about the American citizen’s ‘right to bear arms’ … but I fail to see why anyone outside the security services would need a weapon that can knock down a house with a single magazine.

So true. I just can’t get over this type of offer. Here in Australia, when things are going slowly, different company’s have offers to try and get sales. Things like buy this house and you receive a new car, washing powder with new washing machines etc. but this weapons offer is just weird, and why an AK-47? We can only wonder why.
We do the same thing here … I’m on my seventh Renault at the moment, and so far, I’ve scored a set of suitcases, a rally jacket, an umbrella, several baseball caps and T-shirts and a really nice leather wallet out of them.

Wow, that is a good assortment of items, seems to be very handy items too. Well Done.
I think it’s a great idea to offer something extra, especially with large purchases, they do make a good profit, so why not offer something.
