Mark Twain Finally Speaks

Mark Twain in his gown (scarlet with grey sleeves and facings) for his D.Litt. degree, awarded to him by Oxford University.

Mark Twain has been in the news a fair bit lately, some of you may remember a post that I did Mark Twain to Become Politically Correct not so long ago, it seems there is a lot more news about Mark Twain.

Andrew Bolt has a fantastic article in his blog about the Autobiography of Mark Twain. In his article you will find out about Mark Twain’s dying wish. Also some great links to some newspaper articles about Mark Twain as well. There are 2 video’s, the 1st video is Mark Twain Chapters from My Autobiography, and the 2nd video Mark Twain Autobiography, by the University of California. Both well worth watching, and both very interesting. Take the time to go through everything, and I hope you enjoy the article as much as I did.

Hope there’s a few more ‘bon mots’ in his bio … but really, I want to read about his time as a riverboat captain!

      Hi travelrat,
Mark Twain as a riverboat captain, was only mentioned more or less in reference, in wikipedia, as you know, the link to that is in my first post on Mark Twain, in wikipedia it’s under Early Life. No doubt as time goes on and they sort through all of Mark Twains work we may learn more. I of course will keep my eyes open for any more information to come out.
