Exploding Watermelons in China (Video)

A bit of a shock to go to your crop and find all your watermelons have exploded.  Apparently the farmers used some sort of growth chemical on their crops, but the “experts” said this should not of made the melons explode. But then a farmer that was not using the growth chemical said he’s also experiencing melons that exploded, the “experts” have come up with a couple of reasons why they think this is happening, in other words they haven’t got a clue.

    I seem to remember something similar in UK, years ago … if I remember rightly, they were prize melons, to be entered into a garden show, and sabotage was suspected.

    If it wasn’t for the fact that those folks depend on the melons for their livelihood, this would be … well, rather Monty Python-ish!

      Oh definitely Global Cooling, if it was Global Warming the melons would be twice the size due to the greenhouse effect. 😆

      I have never heard of this growth thing before, and regardless of what the experts say, it all does sound a bit dodgy.

    “growth chemical” on something like watermelons that grow so fast anyway.
    My advice is don’t eat anything grown in China.
