The Mp3 Experiment Eight (Video)

From YouTube:-
For our latest mission, over 3,500 people downloaded an MP3 file and pressed play simultaneously. The event began at sunset in two starting points by the Hudson River. The masses converged on Nelson Rockefeller Park as twilight ended and participated in a series of synchronized activities involving flashlights, camera flashes, glow sticks, and masks.

That is some organizing! Looks like great fun…wonder if the a-u-t-h-o-r-i-t-i-e-s worried. 😀

      Hi souldipper,
I believe with the other seven that were organized there wasn’t any trouble, and also with this one no problems. I think the authorities were there of course just in case. But I agree it certainly was very good organizing, and it looked like everyone was really enjoying themselves.

The power of technology to create fun and bring people together, and, conversely, the power it has to create havoc and violence — as in the UK riots – astonishing, isn’t it?

Hooley dooley. The power of modern technology, eh? Makes you think we could change the world or something….

      Hi Selma,
They look like they are having so much fun, all those people working as one so to speak, all meeting each other yet total strangers, it really was great to watch.

That looks like so much good fun! Amazing… I liked the part where they gave non-participants high-fives – how bewildered the non-participants must have been!

      Hi Barbara,
You are so right, they didn’t know what was happening, and at first was stunned, then a smile was seen, but they were left wondering.
