Oh my, what on earth were they thinking? Whoever organized that should be sacked, that is really terrible, there is still time for them to get a proper tree and get it up and running surely.
They should let this tree mature, and just go out and get a proper tree.

Oh that is a lovely tree, and it really looks good with all the snow around on the ground as it’s being taken to it’s destination. If you get a chance to go to see your towns Xmas tree all decorated you will have to put a picture on your blog so we can all have a look. 😀

It seems every time I turn on the News, the Mayor or Council Chairman of somewhere is trying to justify the cost of Christmas lights in these hard times.
I say, if there are no Christmas lights, then we’re *really* in trouble!

I am so glad to see some cities still go all out to decorate. And interesting how so many use all white lights. For our own tree, we only and always use colored lights but the white ones sure do sparkle and make the trees glow. Thanks for getting me in the spirit today. We’re going out in about an hour to get our tree. I’m ready!

It truly is a festival of lights! It’s nice to see how things are decorated in other parts of the world. We love to go out for a drive to see the lights on houses locally, so many personalities to be seen in the different displays.

We usually go for a drive around as well to see the Xmas lights, some are certainly fantastic.
Some of those Christmas trees are spectacular. I could sit and watch the lights for hours. Tis has really put me in the Christmas mood, Mags. Ho ho ho!!

I also love looking at the Xmas lights, it does certainly get you in the Xmas spirit.
I’m not that interested in Christmas these days, it is far too commercialised in the West. I used to work all over the Xmastime when I was a cab driver, I once drove someone to Doncaster on Christmas Day ( a round trip of about 500 miles). My favourite Christmas of recent times was spent in Poland with friends.
