Big Boy Toys (2): Zapata Flyboard (Fun Video)

This is amazing, it is all attached to a Jet Ski with a huge tube.  I know I could have some fun with this (if I could learn how to use it of course) but still if someone would be nice enough to buy me one of these, I would soon learn to became a human dolphin I’m sure.

It looks like great fun. However, I’m pretty sure it would send me 20,000 leagues under without oxygen. It’s a gadget. They don’t like me!

  2. What could possibly go wrong???

  3. already own one. too slow. looking for something with a little more zip.

  4. That looks like a complete and total blast (as long as the water’s deep enough so you don’t smack your face on the bottom)…

  5. Rebekah says:

Good one, Mags … [great that you had one up your sleeve 😉 ]

The real dolphins would be in a state of shock if they saw this guy LOL

WOAH. Incredible. But I am waiting for the one to come out that makes you swim like a whale. Dolphins are so 2011. Haha.

  8. souldipper says:

    The dolphin are saying,
“Hey Fin, come and look at this piece of chaos!”
“Crazy, Dorsal! He’ll never hear us when we warn him…”
“Omigod…too late, Fin. Hope he likes his nose packed with sand and slightly to the left.”

  9. El Guapo says:

    yes. Yes. YES!!!!!!!
But I’d like to know where the emergency release is before I put it on.
    Just in case…

Hey, can I jump into a 1000 ft sinkhole in one of these? Because that would be cool!

  10. E.C. says:

Oh my stars & garters!!! Hands-down that is the darnedest thing I’ve ever seen!
    Wow!!! Just Wow!!! 🙂

  11. tempo says:

How cool is that…but knowing me I’d end up running into the sea floor

    • magsx2 says:

      Hi tempo,
I think it would take a lot of practice to learn how to do this, but once learned I think it would be a lot of fun, in fact it would be fun learning as well. 😀

  12. Priya says:

Whoa! I’d love to learn how to do that! If only I had the courage, that is. I climbed a bungee tower 10 times before giving up, thinking I’d have a heart attack on the way down.

But still, one can hope for some seeds of grit.

Thanks for this post this day, magsx2. I love day-dreaming, and today’s just the right day for it!

    • magsx2 says:

      Hi Priya,
You were game to even climb the bungee tower, I wouldn’t gone anywhere near it. 😀
Water sports are a different matter to me, I love the water.
Thank You very much for visiting and taking the time to comment.

  13. Barb says:

My health insurance isn’t that great. Thanks for letting us live this vicariously.

    • magsx2 says:

      Hi Barb,
I think if your insurance thought for one moment you would even try this, you would have no more insurance, they are so predictable some insurance company’s. 😀

  14. dearrosie says:

    Hi Mags
Wow this guy is an acrobat the way he flips around its beautiful to watch him, but I’m sure its not as easy as it looks. Don’t you think that you have to be able to surf first, and as someone mentioned, make sure the water’s deep enough…

    • magsx2 says:

      Hi dearrosie,
I think to actually use this properly you would need months of practice, if not more. 🙂
I agree, you would have to make sure you were in deep water.

  15. What propels the water? Is there an engine under his feet that makes the water whoosh up?

I’d give this a go, but I’d be worried I’d land on the jet ski and not in the water. I think I’ll agree with others here and live vicariously through Mr. Zapata.

    • magsx2 says:

      Hi EOSR,
I don’t know how it all works, I assume it has something to do with the jet ski maybe. It looks like the tube which is attaced to the jet ski doesn’t turn around back to the jet ski, I’m only guessing of course. But I would love to find out. 🙂

  16. That looks exhilarating! This looks like it would be fun for the ladies too. That being said, I think I’m content with simply relaxing by the sea watching the dolphins. I’ve tried water skiing and loved it, but this looks like a whole other thing altogether. Ha! Ha! By the way, I appreciate you dropping by my blog. Coincidentally, I had dropped by your blog yesterday too. It was late here in the US, so I figured I’d swing back by today. Anyway, it’s nice to meet you via blogging. This was a delightfully adventurous post! 🙂

  17. Yeeees, says she doubtfully. Bet the dolphins don’t like it!
